minneapolis senior photographer | danielle

this blog post is a very special one to my heart.  this pretty little lady (and i guess i shouldn’t say little … she is all grown up now) was my next door neighbor growing up and like a sister to me.  i have countless memories of her growing up and felt incredibly honored when she asked me to take her senior pictures.  our original plan was to capture them this fall, until i was abruptly put on bed rest.  but this sweet beautiful girl waited patiently, and once baby harper arrived and i was back in action, she was one of my first clients back on the job.

danielle, i am so so proud of you (and i can say with confidence, i know your mom would have been too).  you have grown into an absolutely wonderful person and cannot wait for you to start your college adventure.   you are going to rock the fashion world with all your talent and gorgeousness!!                   xoxo  love you!

minneapolis engagement photographer | laura + joe

what a fun engagement shoot!!  i love these two … they are so perfect together!!  laura is from my hometown and besties with one of my absolute favorite cousins.  i felt very honored when she asked me to photograph her big day.  she is such a sweetheart … not to mention incredibly creative; and we had such a fun time brainstorming ideas for their photo shoot.  i love that they were willing to brave the winter cold (even though it was incredibly warm that particular day … we had to “pretend” to be cold. not complaining) and shoot at a ski hill as they have a mutual passion for winter activities and snowboarding.  laura also told me her and joe love saturday morning coffee runs, so what better place to shoot than a coffee shop!  she even searched high and low for porcelain chalkboard paint to make their “chalkboard” coffee mugs, something I’ve been wanting to try since i first saw them on pinterest.  i can’t wait for your fall wedding you guys, congrats again!!

minneapolis engagement photographer | tricia + brian

after being on bed rest for nearly 4 months, tricia + brian’s shoot was my first engagement session back on the job … so needless to say, there was a little pressure on my shoulders that i wouldn’t “be rusty.”  however, their shoot turned out to be one of my new all time favs!  we photographed inside my studio due to winter weather (although we sure have been blessed with spring arriving early; unfortunately it arrived a few days after their shoot, as their day was rainy).  these two love birds are so sweet together and tricia is an absolute natural in front of the camera.  a gorgeous posing professional she is … love her! but putting my thoughts on the shoots aside … i woke up to tricia’s email this morning and a smile graced my face (and hasn’t left all day) … she proved, pressure wasn’t necessary … i’m back!!

tricia’s email:

“I’m officially obsessed Brandis! Each picture is better than the next! They are all so so great! I worked until midnight and then stayed up past 3am looking at pics and trying out different save the date ideas! I love that they are in both color and black and white–I just love all of them:)  I’m so glad you’re able to capture everything surrounding our wedding.  You’ve got amazing talent. Thanks again!”
Tricia (and Brian!)

thank you for making my weekend tricia.  i cannot wait to celebrate with you and brian!
